Is this the new Xbox One Slim? – E3 2016

Written by James T. George

Rumors! Some of my favorite things in the build up to E3 every year. Yesterday marked one of the bigger ones of this year’s show, with leaks of what may be the Xbox One Slim revision. Said to be 40% smaller than the launch Xbox One, the “S” has a 2 TB hard drive included, supports 4K video playback and High Dynamic Range (HDR). It looks like a vertical stand option will be included, as well as an updated controller. What exactly is updated ont he game pad has yet to be revealed. Any guesses? Here are the leaked images that hit the net today:

It looks like some Kinect support may be built into the bottom of the unit. Perhaps an IR blaster?

As far as rumors go, this one seem’s quite likely, but ultimately we won’t know until Microsoft tells us officially. Here is their only response when asked for comments:

“¯\_(ツ)_/¯ www.xbox.com/e3.”

Well then.

Just a few hours to go until we find out, I guess. Tune in here for more information as it happens!
