Yesterday Bungie unveiled what was our first look at gameplay for it’s upcoming game Destiny. If you don’t already know, Destiny is a constant world sci-fi shooter that takes place in a future where Earth was wiped almost completely clean of human life. You are a guardian, one of the last great powers of your world.
When Bungie lifted the veil on Destiny’s gameplay, they lifted the veil on five years of development time. Bungie began work on Destiny back in 2008, a year before they even released ODST, and two years before Halo: Reach – their Halo swan song – was released. Destiny has been Bungies baby for almost five years now, and it’ll be six years in development before we get our hands on it.
