Gettysburg: Armored Warfare – A Distinct Experience

Written by Raven Poplar

Paradox Interactive (Magicka, Crusader Kings II) and Radioactive Software (Urban Empires) have teamed up to release a Third-Person Shooter/RTS game entitled Gettysburg: Armored Warfare. This game takes place in an alternate American Civil War setting and has up to 64 players at a time fighting to conquer four maps across various game modes. The visual style is distinctive as the technology is advanced beyond what they were using in 1860s America. Dirigibles and heavy armour, as well as the rarely utilized shooter/strategy hybrid gameplay, mark the game as a distinct experience. It was also created entirely by a single person, Danny Green, which will probably appeal to the indie game lovers out there.

The game has been released and is $9.99 USD on Steam.
