Bungie Announces Destiny Beta, Releases New Trailer

I’m not one to say I told you so, but…

Remember that Destiny beta we told you about last week? Well, Bungie confirmed it to the world a few days ago. Coming in “early Spring” of 2014, the beta is available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 3. Access to the beta is granted by simply preordering the game at any participating retailer. For those of you who preordered on Amazon, your code will be emailed to you. Anyone who preordered at a participating retailer in person will have to return to the store and request your code. After getting your code, head to Bungie.net/beta to get it registered. The developer will contact you by your account email to ask your preferred console.

For all the crafty ones out there, you can preorder up to four times for four different codes – that’s one for each console.

While it’s still unclear what the beta will entail as well as whether it will be competitive or cooperative multiplayer, this is still extremely exciting news for all fans of the game.

Bungie also released a new trailer for the game detailing the mysterious Moon Base in the game. The trailer gives us our first look at the decrepit base as well as showing us a good chunk of new gameplay. We’ll have a full analysis of the trailer later today in a new “What Did We Just See?” later today.
