Sony Online Entertainment, (or S.O.E for those of you with an acronym fetish) and ACONY (No word on that being an Acronym) are teaming up to bring you, Bullet Run. This will be a release for the Personal Computer(PC) that is a first person shooter(FPS) and will be Free To Play (FTP). The game takes place in the future where shooting dudes is the new hot reality show that people tune in to watch! This is a concept I would like to see applied to the cast of Jersey Shore, but alas, no spray on tan killings for this far-flung future program. But in this show, merely killing your opponents is not enough, as you will need to be stylish and will need to fight to the death using ammo, weapons and…attitude?(These Press Releases are a comedy goldmine folks). Players,also know as contestants, will have to take their customizable characters to the six arenas to do battle against 19 other players. There is a persistent leveling system that will help make killing your foes easier, with unlocks for not only weapons and unique items, but will also unlock something called,”Kill Skills” which have things like, robots that trap your enemies, and Berserker Mode at your disposal.
I hate to interrupt all the fun here, but COULD SOMEONE KILL THAT GIANT SPIDER!?!?!
Bullet Run will be a PC release, although the word.”initially” was used, which may see this game come to consoles if it does reasonably well. And considering this is a S.O.E title, I would imagine that Playstation 3 will be the likely destination. Bullet Run goes live this summer in North America and Europe.
At least it’s F2P or else I sure wouldn’t be wasting my time with it.
