Need for Speed is back, better than ever

Written by Austin Griffith

Featuring the most customizable cars ever in gaming, action packed overlapping series, and the most adrenaline you’ve ever felt: Need for Speed is back. EA’s E3 press conference kicked off with the new Need for Speed. With five distinct focuses on speed, style, build, crew, and outlaw, you can become the driver you want to be. Our first look at Need for Speed was a nearly seemless and lifelike transformation between a cut scene featuring real humans in a garage to a lifelike car customization screen. Fans who like to tinker are going to love thisL the amount of pieces you can change on your vehicle is insane.

Our pre-alpha demo started with a casual stroll down a city street, where our player linked up with other cars for a seemingly random street race. It didn’t go as planned though, of course, because the police aren’t a fan of street racing.

Even given how little we know about the new Need for Speed, there’s still a lot of reason to be excited. At the very least, this game looks absolutely beautiful.
