It was announced today that Warframe is coming to the PS4 at launch and it is going to be free-to-play right from the start. In a Playstation Blog post, Steve Sinclair, who is the Project Lead for Digital Extremes announced also that his team is preparing a build that will be ready for play at this months E3. If this is what we can come to expect from the next Sony console then I must say that it appears we are in very capable hands. Warframe takes space ninjas and gives them the outrageous combat skills needed to take on any and all challengers. This appears to be just a glimpse of what we can expect from the action games we all love both graphically and in regards to control. Warframe is reportedly running smoothly in 1080p and is also making use of the new touchpad on the Dualshock 4, with a flick of the finger or thumb players will be able to launch themselves into insane attacks.
Another cool announcement for Warframe is their innovative alerts system. Throughout the day new missions will be made available and players will be able to take them on in order to gain intriguing rewards for them and their squads. The best part about this is that we will not even need to be playing the game or even in front of our PS4 to find out about them. The team at Digital Extremes has created an iOS and Android app called the Warframe Nexus that will provide information surrounding these challenges in real-time. The team has also stated that they intend to use the Warframe Nexus for more unannounced features as well.
