“Today at Hammond Robotics, we’re building a new era of machines.”
Titanfall showed off a new Titan today at the Spike VGX Awards. This new Titan, “The Ogre” is a heavy armored robot that appears to operate as the “Heavy” of the game, doing 50% more damage, while being a little bit more slower. The Ogre has special finishing move as well where the Ogre rips off the opponents arm and kills them with it.
The Stryder Titan was also announecd at VGX, the Stryder being the agile, speedy Tital of the game. The gameplay video we saw had the Stryder dashing around using a “dash core”, then getting its ass handed to it by a larger Titan.
Another facet of this trailer shows us Hammond Robotics, the company behind the Titans of the game. Hopefully we’ll be seeing more story details like this later on, and while Vince Zampella says they won’t be “hitting us over the head with story” during the game they want enough of it to bring the world alive.
