(Writer’s note: Sorry for this being late folks)

Well, if you haven’t tried Star Wars:The Old Republic, you really have no excuse to not play now. As of this fall, the Bioware developed MMO will be free to play for up to 50 levels. You can buy the game for 15 bucks (a stark drop from the $59.99 price point mere months ago), and barring some exceptions that are monetized-such as new content and some the more advanced features-, you will be able to play the game for practically nothing. Those of you who stick with the subscription model will have access to all the in-game content (because, you know, that would suck if that stuff wasn’t readily available). Also for the subscribers, you will get every month an amount of “Cartel Coins” which will be used to buy customizable armor and gameplay enhancements. For those of you who have not been playing TOR for sometime, there will be incentives made to lure you back to the dark side (sorry folks). All information regarding this can be found right here.

So is free to play the last barrier to entry for an MMO of this scale? Looking at the rewards that Bioware will dish out, are you at all enticed to continue playing Star Wars? Post in the comments section below!
