There’s no contesting the fact that Peggle is one of the worlds most beloved games. I’m not going to take the time to look up official numbers, so take this with a grain of salt, but having sold over 1 billion copies, the original Peggle is probably the best game of all time. Available on iPhones, Androids, Macs, PCs, Xbox’s, PlayStation’s, cars, golf carts, hockey rinks, and more, the game is a mix of plinko and pachinko, and we all love it.
Now, PopCap has graced us with a release date for it’s next addition into the best franchise of all time. Peggle 2 will be hitting the Xbox One as a timed exclusive on December 9th for $11.99.
If you don’t pick it up at that steal of a price, why even bother owning an Xbox One?
PopCap also detailed new features of the sequel, a new peg joins the fray; an armored peg that takes two hits to disappear, as well as a bumper that shoots the ball away and keeps it on the board.
The game will launch with five peggle masters, each with ten stages as well as having each stage offer three objectives, including clearing all the pegs, reaching a specific store, or jumping for joy when you first download the game.
Peggle 2 will also offer fans a new “trials” mode, in which you’ll be tasked with completing boards by using special skills or under special conditions, including staying underneath a score barrier, only hitting orange pegs, using special techniques, and more.
Once again, Peggle 2 launched December 9th on the Xbox One for $11.99. The game will include 1000 Gamerscore.
