New DLC for Crusader Kings II: Sword of Islam

Written by Raven Poplar

Crusader Kings II, the complex crusades-era political strategy wargame from Paradox Interactive gets a DLC pack! Expand your experience and play as one of many Muslim lords in Crusader Kings II: Sword of Islam. Marriage, law, holdings, traits, and more have been changed to reflect the real world differences that being a Muslim lord would entail. So, depending on whether you are playing as one of the new rulers or not, you would be getting a whole new play experience.

Along with the DLC comes a patch to the base game. Version 1.06 will update the map to reflect the new areas, creating a larger game-world. The new version update will also include updated combat mechanics, differentiation between strong and weak claims, and new plot. So, if you can’t or won’t spend the $9.99USD on the expansion, players will still be able to enjoy the work that Paradox has been putting into the new content.

Crusader Kings II: Sword of Islam is set to release sometime this month for $9.99USD.
