If you’ve been listening to our podcasts, you may have heard me talking about something called the Difference Engine Initiative. If you have not been tuned in to our podcasts, let me give you a little primer. The Difference Engine Initiative is a game-making workshop and support jam for women in this male-dominated industry. Chances are you’re up on social media if you are reading this article. You have grasped the basic concepts enough to know how to search blogs, and visit websites for news and information. In the video games industry, launching a new console is one of the trickiest things imaginable. To be honest, there really have been no outstanding console launches to date. What does a perfect console launch mean? It means that on the first day the console is out, all of the console’s major features are up and running, there are plenty of games with both quantity and quality mattering, the hardware is in good shape with little to no bugs or defects, and there is...

I have had my bout in online relationships as well as know several friends who have met their partners through online games and...
Journey is one of those unique games I get excited about. Doing something different from the rest of the pack. Showing that games can be more than FPS and RPG’s. From the controls to the main task of the game, everything is kept simple, enjoyable. thatgamecompany is set to create an experience you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere else. At CES 2012 I was able to get sometime...
