20 Questions with Battlefield Hardline’s Dan Mitre

15) Will the Phantom program be on Hardline?

[DM] Can’t comment on this at the moment. Sorry!

16) Ok settle this once and for all… does Five Guys burgers even compare to In and Out burgers?

[DM] You’re talking to a SoCal native who grew up on In & Out and hotrods. I’m biased.

17) What is your favorite vehicle in Hardline to date?

[DM] I have two. Can I have two? The Criminal Muscle Car and the Criminal Dirtbike. Check out all the vehicles in Hardline here: http://www.battlefield.com/hardline/features/vehicles

18) If your ship was sinking and you could only grab two things, what would they be?

[DM] Easy – my Bug Out Bag and my cat. Naturally, I would have those two on a ship. Done.

19) Any social media sharing capabilities built into the game that you can talk about?

[DM] You can expect about the same degree as Battlefield 4 at launch. So, share your favorite in-game moments with your friends!

20) Name the weirdest item within arms reach right now?

[DM] Weirdest? I never have weird. I always have down-right awesome. I have a little setup of TMNT Legos, a classic 80’s Michelangelo figure, and a Transformer USB drive. Oh, and an oil diffuser. I suppose that’s weird to have in a cube…

21) What does Hardline want to know from its players?

[DM] What we’ve always wanted to know: what do you like, what do you detest, and how can we make your game experience better. Hit us up on the forums and let us know your thoughts!

22) What was your first job in video games?

[DM] I was a video game tester at Vivendi Games. Some of my first titles included F.E.A.R. and Scarface. Those were killer times! Have you seen “Grandma’s Boy”? It’s a hilariously accurate portrayal of the testing floor.

23) What would you tell yourself if you could send back a message to the 16 year old you?

[DM] “Bro, no joke… You’re going to be working on a title that will be in direct competition with your favorite game.” At the time I was all about CounterStrike and HalfLife.

24) If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be and why?

[DM] To be honest, I love coming back home to California. I’ve been all around the world and this locale has it all – great weather, good vibes, vast environments, and open-mindedness. Those are keep to working in a creative field.

25) Name your dream job? Was it the same when you were 16?

[DM] I’m living the dream! Well, one of them. The other would be a professional race car driver or superbike racer.
