Visceral Games has a new addition, Amy Henning

Written by Barry Villatoro

In a post on EA.com, Steve Papoutsis announced that Amy Hennig has now joined Visceral Games, makers of the Dead Space franchise. As Steve said in the post, she’s most likely working on a new Star Wars game; “Over the last few weeks, Amy and I have spent a lot of time talking about what her first project would be. There are a lot of different directions we could have gone, but I could sense that what really excited her about this opportunity (because let’s face it, we weren’t the only ones knocking at her door) was Star Wars.  Amy’s a huge fan. We happen to be making a Star Wars game. Just thinking about the possibilities made both of us even more excited about having her join the team.”

There’s was some mystery as to why Amy previously left Naughty Dog. There were rumors that Amy may have been forced out by Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley, directors of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us. Naughty Dog released a statement refuting that rumor, “We feel it necessary to clear up a very important point that was unprofessionally misreported when the story broke. Bruce Straley and Neil Druckmann were NOT involved in what transpired.”
