Lighting up a flare as she leaves a cave and looks out on to a harsh, snowy tundra, Lara Croft is back. In the world premier E3 gameplay video, we saw Lara Croft, still voiced by Camila Ludington, scaling an ice-wall with her iconic ice picks. The stakes are high, as always, as Lara tries to make her way to the top of the iced peak before a storm rolls in on her and her comrade.
The graphics on this look stunningly gorgeous, and I’m having a hard time determining what is gameplay and what is prerendered visuals.
We saw much of the same as Lara ran, jumped, ran some more, slide down a path, and then continued to jump as the world fell apart under her feet. Nevertheless, this still looks like an exhilarating experience.
“I finally feel a sense of purpose again, like I’m doing what I’m meant to do… Incredible… This is it.”
