Metro Redux, the rumored remaster of Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light have been officially announced for Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC. Both games will come packed with all of their respective DLC and be available digitally for $24.99 each, or collected in a retail package for $49.99. This is a great chance for fans of survival horror to get their hands on this creepy franchise if they happened to have missed it the last time around.
The collection, presented in full 1080p and running at 60fps, has been given a full graphical overhaul and in the case of Metro 2033, a technical one as well. The first game will now run on the engine that was designed for Last Light, along with improved enemy AI, stealth and combat. Described by the developers as a Director’s Cut, the collection is more streamlined this time around and the parity between the two games, both graphically and gameplay -wise will be on the same level.
It should be pretty nerve-wracking to revisit the irradiated wasteland of Moscow this summer when the games are released. Having missed out on the original Metro 2033, I’ll be more than happy to head into the subway tunnels once again. So watch the creepy announcement trailer below and come back to LevelSave for more on Metro Redux as the release date nears.
